Guide to Firebolt

Fighting With Firebolt
Heya all! KitaeK27 here with a guide that lets you take out just about any monster you want! (or at least, most monsters in regular, as long as your mana and stamina keeps up). Remember that these guides are quite outdated, and I made them a good year or so ago for another fansite. Some of the data will be outdated, or not included. I will try to whip out any of the basics I can find that I am missing from the database and add it here. I am now just pulling them out and posting it here to be of help for anyone considering using Firebolt as an attack.

Firebolt is a very nice spell. In fact, lemme go over the very basics of firebolt.

Firebolt costs 3 ap to get. It costs 2 mana to use at rank F, and is the slowest of all three bolt level spells.
Firebolt has a automagic knockback special. This means no matter who you hit or what skill they are using, it will be knocked back (unless of course, you fight gaurds, dragons, giant sand worms, etc).

To obtain Firebolt, buy the book at a magic school anywhere in the world of Mabi.

How to fight solo type bosses with firebolt
Solo bosses, like succubus or banshees, can be a real pain in the butt, and is problematic for archers because they seem to have autoblock against every move. Thankfully, autoblock doesnt stop the knockback power of FIREBOLT!
When fighting these bosses, its best that you set up a campfire. If anything ever goes wrong, you hide behind it and thus avoid any problems (stand next to it at all times).
1. First, attack the boss with whatever you want (you want it to do a lot of damage, so its either a middle level spell, smash, or a 5 charge firebolt).
2. Charge another firebolt and knock it back once more.
3. Turn on counter immediately, and wait for the enemy to charge at you.
**IF you are unlucky enough to have the boss charging a magic instead of charging at you, then you QUICKLY retaliate by either using a firebolt and knocking it back before it can attack you (this only works with rank 5 or 1 because rank F and 9 are not fast enough) or you hide behind the camp fire so you won't be hit.**
4. When the enemy is knock back from your counter, charge another firebolt. If you don't lag like hell you should be able to knock it back before it gets to you.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4. Make sure you have stamina and mana potions. If you follow the process right, you can defeat even the strongest bosses without being hit once. This process works on just about everyone else as well (except for earthquake attack types).

How to fight skeletons without ever taking a hit
This process is much slower than any of the other styles for fighting a skeleton, but is probably the safest, and least stamina consuming. It is a great strategy when you try to take Rabbie dungeon.
1. Charge a firebolt. Attack the skeleton that is after you.
2. Carefully watch the skeleton's behavior. When a skeleon is knocked back, it always waits a few seconds before acting, or will instantly retaliate with a smash.
3. If it uses smash, then you can go attack it with melee! If it does anything else, charge up another firebolt, and knock it back again.
4. Repeat 2 and 3 until the skeleton is dead.
5. The moment you kill your skeleton, CHARGE UP ANOTHER FIREBOLT! Another skeleton WILL come after you immediately. Shoot that one and start the process all over again.

Fighting a Ogre
You just got to the end of Bari dungeon, and no one has bows and arrows. Well, firebolt replaces bows and arrows quite well against an ogre. Because Ogres are so stupid, they'll ALWAYS attack the last person that attacked it.
1. Attack the ogre, bring it to the boss room door, where two people will stand with windmill activated. Command the windmillers to attack when it comes near the door.
2. Stand behind the windmillers so that the ogre cannot get to you. You will firebolt the ogre ONLY WHEN IT IS STANDING, and ONLY IF A WINDMILLER HIT IT LAST.
Why only when it is standing? Because if you hit it while its knocked down, then it wont push back any further. In fact it'll get up faster.

Killed a *Monster Name* in one hit Title
Firebolt can do 100 damage with full charge at rank F. At rank 1, it does about 500 damage. With good int, that damage can double. Firebolt is a good attack for killing monsters before they knew what was coming to them. Catch a bear or small golem in one hit with firebolt. Recently, I've had enough critical and balance to get that damage up to 2000. With Chaincast wands, I can whip that damage out whenever I want, in 2 seconds.

PVP with Firebolt
Don't you just hate how magic seems to be really weak in pvp? Well there are several ways to own your opponents with magic. This goes for all spells. You just have to know how to use them right (although icebolt tends to be a bit more useless in pvps)
1. Buy and train a firewand to be able to chain cast 5 bolts at once. This will allow you to charge 5 firebolts all at once, allowing you to practically use a ranged smash attack at its full power.
2. Equip a firewand in pvp. Remember that wands increase magic range, giving you a chance at those pesky archers.
3. Turn on chain casting, keep your finger on that mana potion button, and FIRE AWAY!
If you keep firebolting nonstop, your opponent will have a hard time getting near you (especially warriors). Of course, you'll still have a hard time against archers, they seem to be the god of pvp.

Are you a weak player? Does your lousy short sword do only 10 damage on a golem? Do you want to help while your party gets slaughtered by the Golem's windmill and smash? Well with the cost of just TWO ap, you can now apply 100 damage to that pesky golem AND push it back!

Combine Firebolt and Icebolt to use Firebolt FIVE TIMES in a row!
Combine Firebolt and Lightningbolt to use Firebolt like a SHOTGUN!
Use Firebolt when you're out of stamina and you just need to push back someone really annoying! (quite useful when you've been using fake death for a while)
Got a zombie up your butt? Stalling? Push them all into a corner using firebolt, and then just windmill them all at once!

Visit the data base for information on firebolt.
Remember. DONT BE AFRAID TO FAKE DEATH
